历史沿革[edit]
村落的开端可以上溯到唐朝景福元年，即892年。1987年，原街道办事处撤销改设镇，村名随之正式确定为莘口村。[1]
经济[edit]
村内探明有石英矿，林地、毛竹山与果园也占有一定的面积。[2]
文化[edit]
2024年1月，本村获评「福建省卫生村」。[1]
