廖源村位于三明市南部，村名取自昔日廖氏的居住地。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1978年前，此处是廖源大队；1983年划归下源乡；1987年10月起称廖源村民委员会。[1][2]

产业与交通[edit]

村内以种植水稻、柑桔和毛竹为主，有水电站一座，林地面积较大。[1][2]2010年以前村内柑橘种植面积曾超过两千亩，此后因病虫害和市场原因大幅缩减，2016年该村被认定为贫困村；之后引进红美人橘橙等新品种，并采用无病毒栽培技术，柑橘产业逐步恢复。[2]村中道路全程硬化，可通往205国道。[1]

文化[edit]

村里的永兴堂、田公庙有百年历史，元宵节村中舞板凳龙。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

  • 「2023年福建省卫生村」的称号于2024年1月授予廖源村。[1]
  • 市里于2024年7月命名廖源村为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
  • 2024年，廖源村获批省级乡村振兴示范村。[2]
