地理与人口[edit]
本村属低山丘陵地带，海拔约380至450米。耕地约985亩，山地约3800亩，合计全村总面积7830亩。村中人口2518人，共625户，分为17个村民小组。[1][2]
博雅地名网转述的族谱记载，本村先人约于1440年迁入此地。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国十七年，这里设立四黄保，隶属社硎乡。中华人民共和国成立前改属兴安乡。1950年至1951年间，先后归第4区、第8区管辖。[1]
1958年建立人民公社，改为四黄大队；1961年并入书峰公社；村民委员会于1984年设立，隶属书峰乡。[1]
产业[edit]
村中以枇杷与青黛为主要产业。全村枇杷种植2300亩，青黛种植100多亩。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2020年11月，本村被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版“绿盈乡村”」。[1]
2021年4月，本村获评「2020年度福建省乡村振兴实绩突出村」。[1]
本村于2021年11月由福建省爱卫办确定为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
福建省农业农村厅在2022年10月，把本村列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
2023年9月，本村被认定为「2023年莆田市“一村一品”专业村」，主导产业为青黛。[1]
文物与名胜[edit]
四黄闽中游击纵队驻地旧址位于芦前自然村。1947年4月，「闽中游击纵队」宣告成立，随即沿莆仙边界西进，计划前往戴云山，与闽浙赣游击纵队会合。[1]
