白洋村位于仙游县西北部，大济溪主流贯穿村境。全村区域面积约8平方千米，下辖2个自然村，5个村民小组。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明正德年间（1505—1521年），一支刘姓先民从汾洋迁到尖峰山下的一片小平原，称为汾洋之外洋。后与白硎并为白洋保，拆队后仍称白洋。[1]

1959年，仙游区直机关撤销，白洋乡并入社硎乡镇；白洋乡驻地的外洋村改称白洋村。1962年设白洋大队，1984年，白洋村设立村民委员会，隶属社硎乡。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域内耕地382亩，园地210亩，林地4115亩。[2]

文化[edit]

2012年11月，白洋村被评为「省级生态村」；2019年12月，入选「第一批国家森林乡村」名单；2021年2月，上榜「福建省2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1][2]

2020年11月，白洋村被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版“绿盈乡村”」；2021年11月，被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
