社硎村紧邻社硎乡政府驻地，村委会设在社硎街，是社硎这一地名的发源地。全村分为17个村民小组，东面与厝洋村、湖洋村相邻。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1930年起，社硎村属仙游县第八区兴安乡兴安村。[1] 1958年9月，村域归社硎人民公社的星生产大队管辖；1962年，社硎生产大队分出一支，设为社硎生产队。[1]

1984年10月，社硎村设立村民委员会；同年12月，社硎公社改为社硎乡。[1]

文化[edit]

社硎陈氏祠堂位于乌炳内16号，是古建筑，列为仙游县一般不可移动文物点；保护界线为本体四周向外1米。[2]

2024年1月，社硎村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」；2021年3月，被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」；2020年11月，被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版“绿盈乡村”」。[1]
