名称由来[edit]
古时村名为“漈坑”，又称济水。博雅地名网记述两种由来：一说宋代学子郑侨殿试时嫌“漈坑”二字气象不足，改称济川；另一说是宋代一位秀才的诗句“济川景象无人识”。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
唐圣历二年（699年）村地属清源县游洋镇，天宝元年（742年）改属仙游县游洋镇。[2]
宋太平兴国四年（979年）至明正统十二年（1447年）间属兴化县兴泰里；1952年2月划入仙游县第十区。1958年4月，本地设立了济川村人民委员会，管辖五星乡。[2]
1958年9月起归麦斜人民公社，1962年1月改属石苍人民公社；1984年11月设村民委员会，归石苍乡人民政府管辖。[2]
百度百科则称济川为汉代古村落，并载济川地处仙游与永泰交界，留有一条千年古道。两说的起始年代不同，此处以博雅地名网的沿革为准。[3]
地理与人口[edit]
四面邻村：东面是游洋镇，北面为高阳村，西面连接霞湖村，南面与石苍、田坑两村隔溪相望。距乡政府驻地11公里，海拔380米，总面积27.5平方公里。[2]
村下共有13个自然村，分25个村民小组；户数980，人口3472，男性1787，女性1685。[1]
自然与资源[edit]
村境内有金钟湖，粗溪为莆田主要温泉带之一，其水温达85度。村周边群山环绕，樟抱榕古树据称已编入《中国旅游奇观》。[1]
境内蕴藏叶腊石，露天矿藏量达2000多万吨。耕地1871亩，林地32966亩。[1]
文物古迹[edit]
村中古迹包括林于茂古宅、济川宋井、济川天堂宫、林爱云墓与古桥、古井等，据博雅地名网所载，文物古迹与自然景观共计100多处。[1][2]
宋井列为县级文物保护单位（第四批），林于茂古宅、天堂宫则属一般不可移动文物点。[2]
村中的云顶岩有十八狮、化莽洞、眠云阁等奇景，禹门三级浪、笔架山也是村周边的景观。[1]
荣誉[edit]
福建省人民政府于2008年把「历史文化名村」称号授予济川村，其后该村又列入第六批中国历史文化名村名单。[1][2]
2014年11月，济川村列入第三批中国传统村落名录。2019年12月，获国家林业和草原局公布为第二批国家森林乡村。[2]
农业农村部于2021年10月将济川村推介为「2021年中国美丽休闲乡村」；2024年1月，济川村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[2]
2025年3月，济川村被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[2]
