老山村隶属福建省莆田市仙游县石苍乡，位于九溪流域中部的山区，离县城有72.5公里，离乡政府29.5公里。村辖4个自然村，是革命老区重点村，村中保存有多处革命遗址。[1][2]

地理与人口[edit]

老山村位于九溪流域中部，青龙溪、九溪两大溪流贯穿全境，村内森林覆盖率在90%以上。[1]

全村人口518人、158户，辖东山、西山、新厝、漈兜4个自然村、7个村民小组；林地面积3.88万亩，耕地268亩。[1][2]

革命历史[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，该村在1930年代末至1940年代初充当过闽、浙、赣省委机关与闽中游击队司令部的驻地，老一辈革命家在此开展过活动。[1]

百度百科另说，1943年前后闽中特委的机关设在村中，留有红军洞与哨兵岩等遗址。两说的时间与机关名称不同，并存于此。[3]

村中的红军祠、哨兵岩、送粮路、红军树及闽中特委旧址，都是当年革命历史的见证物。[1]

经济与资源[edit]

村民发展林果种植与竹木加工，竹筒席和筷子产品外销各地，竹笋干与冬笋分别以“老山笋干”“石苍冬笋”完成商标注册。[1]

林中有红豆杉、花梨木、樟木、楠木等树种，并生长红菇、香菇、木耳等野生食用菌。[1]
