柳园村位于西苑乡西北部，靠近戴云山麓，北与永泰县赤水村接壤，是莆田市六个回族行政村之一。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

柳园村原属兴化县。明正统十三年（1448年）起划归仙游县，此后便一直隶属仙游。南宋德佑二年（1276年），村中先人朝辅公自兴化迁居九龙山柳园。[1][2]

民族[edit]

全村只有郭姓一姓。郭氏族人于1988年1月重新登记为回族，此事经莆田市民政局核准。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中有郭氏祠堂、老街与旧巷，逢庙会时颇为热闹。村内清代古民居尚存，其中一座厅堂仍保留清咸丰年间的「四代同堂」牌匾。[2]

龙凤岩位于海拔约1200米的高山之巅，四面悬崖，建于元代。仁德宫在下洋溪边，据记载最后一次修建于清乾隆年间。[2]

自然环境[edit]

村境内有海拔1791米的五雷山，山势险要。林木与竹林资源丰富，村中还有数百年树龄的椿树和柳杉。[2]
