地名由来[edit]
村子位于仙游山西侧，因而得名。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村西与泉州德化县的石牛山隔山相望，东面与凤山九座寺、十八股头景区相接。木兰溪发源于村内，村中有龙过轿三级瀑布，总落差200米。[2][3]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内有张公斩蛇遗迹与仙狮祖殿。官度尾自然村有纪氏祠堂，半林自然村有张公殿。[2][3]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立前此地归凤顶乡管辖。之后数次调整隶属，1961年归西苑公社。1979年从仙游山地分出仙西大队，1984年改为村民委员会建制。[1][3]
著名人物[edit]
据博雅地名网，官度尾自然村出过纪郑，他官至一品尚书，朝廷授予其「三朝元老」之称。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2020年11月，本村被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。2021年3月，被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」。2021年12月，被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」，同月确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」。福建省农业农村厅在2022年10月将本村列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2024年1月，被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[2]
