地名由来[edit]
当地流传仙游山上曾有神仙往来，山名由此而来。村子位于仙游山东侧，因而取名仙东。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1930年代初，这一带归度尾七区管辖，仙游山地设为一保。新中国成立后直到1958年，此地称仙山乡；1959年3月，仙游山分为仙山、仙东、仙西三个大队，本村划归西苑公社。1984年5月，村民委员会设立。[1][2]
革命历史[edit]
林志楠、黄国璋、黄桦等人在北溪五湖一带领导地下革命，时间在1946年至1947年间，村庄由此成为革命老区基点村。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，本村由福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
