历史沿革[edit]
民国年间这里称上宫街；解放后属游洋乡，1958年成立兴山大队，1984年改设兴山村委会。1991年，村委会名称改为「游洋镇兴山村委会」。[1]
仙游县第一个基层党组织即诞生于本村。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村内耕地825亩，主产水稻；山地面积15375亩，其中毛竹林6109亩。[1]

文化[edit]
兴角宫位于上宫自然村，据百度百科始建于唐代，宫内正殿为歇山顶木构，殿内悬有宋代理宗御赐的匾额，宫前存有石狮与石香炉。[3] 2013年1月28日，省人民政府把它列为「福建省第八批省级文物保护单位」。[3]
村内有一所小学和多所卫生所。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年12月，兴山村列入国家林业和草原局公布的第二批「国家森林乡村」名单。[2]
2022年9月，福建省农业农村厅推介兴山村为「2022年福建省美丽休闲乡村」。[2]
2022年10月，兴山村列入「第六批中国传统村落」。[2]
2024年1月，兴山村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[2]
