历史沿革[edit]
村名的由来有两说：博雅地名网的地名由来一条，追溯到明末，当时此地叫古宅；后来古宅与椿下相并，各取一字定名为「梧椿」。[2] 其概况页则称，民国年间以吴宅及椿下两地各取首字命名「梧椿」保。[1]
解放初称梧椿乡，1958年公社化后为梧椿大队，1984年改为梧椿村委会，1993年改称游洋镇梧椿村委会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村域耕地2321亩，以种水稻为主；山地25380亩，林木以马尾松、毛竹和阔叶林为主，并产油茶、枇杷、红柿等水果。[1]
境内有龙潭水库，库容19.2万立方米；涵游公路穿村而过约3公里。[1]
人口[edit]

村内有东山漈瀑布、三十六间奇石怪洞等自然景观，以及明代的虎溪寺、清代的延寿宫和龙兴宫等古迹。[1]

2020年11月，梧椿村被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。[2]
福建省绿化委员会于2022年12月作出命名，梧椿村获评「2022年福建省森林村庄」。[2]
2023年2月，梧椿村列入「福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[2]
2024年1月，梧椿村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[2]
