溪车村位于大济镇西部，地势西南高、东北低，村内划为溪车与田庄两个基点。村名来自小溪环绕村庄的形状。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村中以小溪环绕，形如车辙，“溪车”之名由此而来；后人又以“溪”与“围”相配，读作“车”。[1]

村内果树以枇杷为主，山林面积较大。[1]

人口民族[edit]

2014年的数据为978户、3925人，男性1885人，女性1835人。村中郑、张、谢、洪、陈、吴等姓氏并居。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

远古时期此地为湖泊，地势低于周边。[2]

经济[edit]

2022年12月，省农业农村厅将村庄认定为「2022年度福建省一村一品专业村」，产品为下宵米粉。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年3月，村庄被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」。2020年11月，村庄被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」，2023年2月又入选「福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1][2]
