大济镇在福建省莆田市仙游县西部，木兰溪中游流经镇域南部。镇下辖1个社区和22个行政村，农业以水稻、甘蔗为主，近年来多个村庄的线面、文旦柚、米粉等产品被认定为“一村一品”专业村。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时期，今镇域分属归德乡下的善化里与万善里，明清两代沿用这一建制，民国时期归入善化镇。[2]

镇名的来历有两种说法。一说街后原有一道大圳，方言读音转为“大济”；另一说宋代宝文阁待制陈次升在家乡建成北溪桥（今大济桥），乡民为纪念他称之“待制桥”，而“待制”与“大济”方言读音相近，地名由此沿用。[4]

中华人民共和国成立后，这一带先属仙游县第六区。大济公社设立于1958年9月，1984年11月公社改为大济乡，至1992年11月乡级建制才改成镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

境内东侧与鲤城街道相望，南面、西南面紧邻龙华镇，西侧以永春县为界，西北方向连着度尾镇，北与东北则与社硎乡、书峰乡毗邻。[1]

木兰溪中游流经镇域南部，仙永公路贯穿全镇。[2]

人口民族[edit]

以2019年末的统计计，镇域户籍居民为97511人；百度百科给出的镇域面积是115.44平方千米。[1]

博雅地名网另载镇域面积约89.7平方千米、人口约6.34万人，未注明年份，与前一组数字相差较大；本条目以有年份的数字为准。[2]

经济[edit]

镇里的乡镇企业集中在商贸、运输、建筑和副食品加工等行业。[2]

2023年至2025年间，大济社区的线面、坑北村的文旦柚、溪口村的米粉、东井村的奇楠沉香先后被认定为莆田市或福建省“一村一品”专业村。[5][6][8][9]

名胜古迹[edit]

镇内的古迹与旧址分布在多个村。大济社区有袭击善化民防团战斗遗址，1930年中共仙游临时县委组建的游击队曾在此袭击善化民防团。[5]

溪口村有溪口战斗旧址，属1949年前后的革命战斗遗址。[6]

垅溪村的垅溪陈氏祠堂建于清代，1992年重修。[7]

坑北村有德兴张英故居与坑北余立丰祠，后者为仙游县第一批县级文物保护单位。[8]

文化[edit]

2024年1月，大济镇被命名为「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」；2025年11月，大济镇被认定为「福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范乡镇」。[2]

著名人物[edit]

余立丰（1521年—1574年），字仲宇，为大济镇奎山（今坑北村）人，明代进士，曾任广东推官，后任琼山知县，琼山即今海南岛。[10]
