新窑村位于仙游县东南部，东接前连村，北邻盖尾村，辖4个村民小组，是盖尾镇的少数民族行政村。村民世代以制陶为生。[1]

地名由来[edit]

此地原先与盖南村同属一个村，新中国成立后分出独立，定名新窑。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立前此地属香北乡，1958年起属郊尾区。1984年成为郊尾乡下辖的新窑村委会，次年改隶郊尾镇。2002年10月，村划入盖尾镇。[3]

经济[edit]

清初村中开始建窑制陶。1995年以前主要烧制盛放器皿，1995年以后转为仿古陶器，专供欣赏装饰，产品销往欧美与东南亚等地。村内现有两家集体陶器厂与若干私营陶器厂。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

炉底窑址位于第三村民小组，为古遗址，属仙游县一般不可移动文物点。[4]

文化[edit]

2005年，新窑村被评为县级文明村，同年又获市级调解示范村称号。2024年1月，该村入选「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
