盖南村位于盖尾镇南部，三郊公路贯穿村域，下设3个自然村，分为10个村民小组，另有一个街道居民小组。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村民沿盖尾镇南部定居，逐渐形成村落，村名由此而来。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立前此地属香北乡，1956年后归郊尾区管辖，1958年划入郊尾公社。1984年设盖南村委会，隶属郊尾镇，次年仍归该镇。2002年起，村改由盖尾镇管辖。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
桥下自然村的盖南许氏祖居为古建筑，属仙游县一般不可移动文物点。[4]
文化[edit]
2024年1月，该村入选「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
