东井宫村位于木兰溪北岸，东与石马村接壤，西与榜头镇上坤村相临，距盖尾镇政府约3公里。村内古典家具与木雕加工较为集中。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村在木兰溪畔的丘陵地上，旧时有东西相对的两口水井，东称东井，西称西井。前人在东井边建了一座宫庙，村名由此而来。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

旧时此地属榜头上昆村管辖，称东宫村。1958年归盖尾公社，因榜头也有东宫村，为避免重名，1983年恢复“东井宫”之名，1984年改设东井宫村民委员会，隶属盖尾乡。1992年属盖尾镇。[1][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

解放战争时期，西埔自然村是革命老区的基点村。1948年底，原中共仙游地方组织负责人林步云在此一带恢复活动，后卓垅的郑配生家设为联络站。1949年7月底，仙游东南区工委的几位成员在郑家楼上开会，被国民党仙游驻军的一支小股部队包围，郑配生的母亲郑庆治将敌人引开，与会者得以脱险，她则被关押至同年8月仙游解放。该旧址为两层土木结构民居，2011年12月由中共莆田市委党史研究室挂牌保护。[4]

西埔自然村的方隋旧居为古建筑，属仙游县一般不可移动文物点。[4]
