义店村位于盖尾镇东部，南以木兰溪为界，辖白湖、三房、坂庄、三座厝四个自然村。赖榜县道从村中通过。[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传旧时有一位丞相居住于此，为官清廉、爱民如子，曾开设多间小店，接济贫苦百姓，村名因此得名“义店”。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村民的始祖于明代正统年间（1438年）迁居此地。村中现居郑、陈、林、严、戴五姓。[1]

新中国成立前此地属香田镇，1958年改归盖尾公社，由义店生产大队管理，1984年设义店村民委员会，隶属盖尾乡。1992年盖尾撤乡设镇，村随之属盖尾镇。[3]

经济[edit]

坂庄自然村临木兰溪，溪埔面积较大，出产沙石料。白湖自然村以种植蔬菜见长。[1]
