潘硎村位于赖店镇东北部，村中海拔最高处约825米，有山坳小气候。村名相传与宋代一位潘姓人物及村中出产的磨刀石有关。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
解放前，此地归孝仁乡。之后一段时间，它先在乌墩区，接着改属玉墩区，又划入山尾区，1956年归城关区，1958年转隶赖店公社，1962年为公社下的潘硎大队。1984年改为潘硎村委会，1992年随镇属赖店镇。[1]
1991年，原潘硎村分出一部分，设立林田村。[2]
经济[edit]
槟榔芋（香芋）是村中的主导产业。据百度百科，槟榔芋自南宋引种，清代曾列为贡品。[2]
2025年6月，村庄被认定为「2025年莆田市一村一品专业村」，主导产业为槟榔芋。[1]
文化[edit]
2024年1月，潘硎村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」；2020年11月，村庄被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
潘硎岩里寺旧址在九龙山，是仙游县第二批县级文物保护单位。[1]
