历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，相传唐代有姓乌的人家在此居住，地名叫乌墩；因四周多土墩，而「土」字不雅，中华人民共和国成立后改名玉墩。[1]
此地早年归孝仁乡。1950年起，村地先后隶属乌墩区乌墩乡、玉墩区玉墩乡与山尾区玉墩乡，1956年归城关区玉墩乡，1958年设赖店公社玉墩大队。1984年改设赖店乡玉墩村委会，1992年起属赖店镇，2013年村委会迁至新村部。[1]
人口民族[edit]
据百度百科，截至2023年，村中户籍人口5643人，其中移民1437人，常住人口2945人。该村是仙游县最大的古洋水库移民村。[2]
经济[edit]
村中以反季节菊花种植为核心的特色农业。[2]
文化[edit]
2020年11月，玉墩村被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。据百度百科，2017年村庄获评省级「美丽乡村」试点村。[1][2]
名胜古迹[edit]
玉墩朱绂少保祠在寨里自然村，是仙游县第六批县级文物保护单位。玉墩朱绂墓在古洋水库的中香山，为第三批县级文物保护单位；玉墩朱澥墓在古洋水库指挥部大池后，为第四批县级文物保护单位。[1]
