樟林村位于赖店镇内，村名来源于旧时村中一片樟树林，当地人习惯叫作樟林。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
旧时此地归孝仁乡。解放后，先在一区付园乡，继而改入二区的樟林乡。1952年至1957年，村里依次经历互助组、初级社、高级社。1958年建新大队曾分出赖店、岐山、樟林三村，1961年又并为岐山、樟林两村；到1962年5月，樟林改制为樟林大队。此后，村中于1984年改设樟林村委会，乡改镇时随之属赖店镇。[1]
文化[edit]
2020年11月，樟林村被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」；2024年1月，村庄被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
樟林灯坪亭在苦坑自然村，是仙游县一般不可移动文物点。[1]
