地理环境[edit]
村域分散，属半山地形，地势比周边村子高。赖园公路自西北向东南横穿全村，木兰溪的支流柴桥头溪也经过村里。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
2019年，村里成立了经济合作社。[2]
1992年11月，赖店撤乡设镇，村随之属镇。[1]

2024年1月，新周村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
新周黄氏土楼位于土寨自然村，新周黄腾龙旧居也在该自然村，两处是仙游县一般不可移动文物点。新周九峰寺旧址在田坽加尖山上，是仙游县第一批县级文物保护单位。[1][2]
