坂头村是赖店镇的一个行政村，村名的由来与旧时的码头有关：此地原为码头，后变为旱地，「坂头」即「码头」的谐音。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前，此地属城南乡。新中国成立初，村名曾为侨山村，随后数年间辖属几度变动：先在一区，继而二区，再归山尾区；1954年改称锦田村。1956年划入城关区，1958年转隶赖店公社。1960年析出为坂头大队；1984年改为赖店乡下的坂头村，1992年起随镇设置。[1]

文化[edit]

2022年10月，坂头村被认定为「2022年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」；2024年1月，村庄被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内有坂头锦坂祠堂与坂头杨氏民居，两处都列为仙游县一般不可移动文物点。[1]
