温泉村位于仙游县城南部，占地1.2平方千米，内有九个自然村，分十二个村民组。九个自然村包括元田、乌头、寨里、南兄厝、新厝、塔山、洋面和上亭。[1][2]

村名来自村内天然温泉，村民曾将温泉开发为浴池。三郊公路（三明至郊尾）贯村而过。[1][2]

地名与历史[edit]

宋代，茅如至发现温泉水，并将其开发为群众浴池，此后村因泉而名。村中历史上曾出过进士十余名。[2]

村中现存双林寺，位于濯缨池旁，雕工精细，已被列为县级保护文物。[2]
