涵井村位于仙游县城东约五公里，与盖尾镇琼峰村接壤，西与下楼村交界，仙港大道贯穿全境。村域面积15平方千米，村民说莆仙话。[2][3]

村民以阙下林氏为主，明代即有林氏宗祠。2002年9月城东镇撤销，涵井村改归鲤南镇。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国十七年（1928年）设涵井保，归属兰溪乡。土地改革时设涵井村，归榜头区昆仑点管辖；1953年归城关一区，1956年归城关公社。1983年城关公社改为城东公社，1984年改为城东乡，同年成立涵井村村民委员会。1992年城东乡改为城东镇。[1]

2002年9月城东镇撤销，鲤南镇随即设立，涵井村因此划入鲤南。[1]

人文与建筑[edit]

涵井村是仙游阙下林氏的开族地。据博雅地名网，明洪武三年（1370年），一支林氏迁居涵井，后世繁衍，至今已近三十代。[2]

村中的林氏宗祠为明代遗构，建成于永乐元年，即1403年；龙天宫则在嘉靖四年（1525年）增建。[2]

村内文物有涵井林氏祖祠、涵井余授墓，均为仙游县一般不可移动文物点；大埔林氏祖屋创建于明末清初，为三进合院式土木结构建筑。[1]

物产[edit]

涵井的桂圆干远近闻名，西瓜也曾被评为全省最优质西瓜。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年3月，涵井村被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」。[1]
