鲤南镇隶属福建省莆田市仙游县，位于县城南面，木兰溪南岸，与旧城区隔溪相望，下辖8个社区和10个行政村。[1][2]

镇名取自它在仙游城区南面、木兰溪南岸的位置。2002年9月，仙游县调整部分行政区划，设立鲤南镇，镇政府驻仙安村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代这一带属仙游县孝仁里。1941年归仙游县中山镇，1949年属城关区（第一区）。1955年设城关镇，1958年成立城关人民公社，1984年改称城东乡，1992年改设城东镇。[1]

2002年9月，城东镇的镇政府由东门村搬到仙安村，省政府为此作了批复，镇名随之改为鲤南镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

从方位看，镇域东接盖尾镇，东南靠赖店镇，西南和西侧与龙华镇相连，西北邻大济镇，北面隔溪与鲤城街道相望。面积一说为42.82平方千米（百度百科），博雅地名网则载为42.59平方千米。[2][1]

人口[edit]

百度百科载截至2019年末户籍人口63391人，有年份可依。博雅地名网载约9.56万人，维基百科载当地人口58070人，两者均未注年份，与前者口径不一，故不取。[2][1][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

仙游革命烈士陵园位于镇城南东路，依虎啸山而建。1984年兴建纪念碑，1999年扩建为园林式陵园。[1][4]

镇内另有潘涛烈士故居，在仙安村池头自然村，为中共仙游县委早年设立的地下联络点之一；象运林寿国故居在象运村下祠堂；玉田黄氏宗祠在玉田村院后顶甲山。博雅地名网列后两者为仙游县一般不可移动文物点。[1]
