中岳村位于度尾镇中部，靠近凤凰山南麓，东与木兰溪西岸相接，西与剑山村交界。村子距县城约17公里，村内有明代所建的度尾文庙。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
中岳村旧称朝天乡，是岑西镇公所的驻地。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
度尾文庙位于村内古街，俗称中岳朝天文庙，明正德年间（1506年）由户部尚书郑纪奏请改建，2010年起修缮，2011年竣工，保留明代风格。[2][3]
人物[edit]
现代国画大师李耕（1885年至1964年）出生于本村的民间画师世家，擅长佛像，兼工山水，作品有《仙游四大景》等。[1][4]

村中以艺雕工艺为特色，多有雕刻工房。[1]
