湘溪村位于仙游县北部、木兰溪上游，是度尾镇的行政村。村子东隔木兰溪与后埔村相望，北靠将军寨，南经南山与洋坂村交界，距县城约25公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

湘溪村先后隶属霞溪村和后埔村管辖，1959年才独立设为行政村。村中刘、黄两姓人口较多；黄氏先祖于明成化年间迁居于此。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

瑞凰亭是镇内的古迹之一，建于清康熙年间，1995年集资重修。村中保存较好的古村落有寨里和新厝两处。[1]
