度尾镇位于福建省莆田市仙游县西中部，地处木兰溪上游。它东南、南面与大济镇相接，北与东北连接西苑乡，西与西北和泉州市的永春、德化相邻。全镇辖三个社区、十六个行政村，镇政府驻度峰社区。[1][2]

镇内的特产是度尾文旦柚，2010年获批为中国地理标志产品；明代户部尚书郑纪、现代国画大师李耕等人物都出自本镇。[1][3][5]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武二年（1369年）此地归属归德化的万善里和文贤里。新中国成立后先设仙游第七区，1955年改为度尾区，1958年底以区并乡，合为一个公社。1984年11月公社转为乡，1985年3月乡又改为镇。[1][3]

据博雅地名网的说法，“度尾”之名来自西乡道路的末端，“路”与“度”在当地方言中读音相同。[3]

自然环境[edit]

全镇面积114.8平方千米，木兰溪自境内流过，仙永公路贯穿全境。[1][3]

经济[edit]

度尾文旦柚是本镇的特产。据百度百科，该柚由清代一位举人与一名戏班旦角合作培育，后以高压法育苗推广到邻村；2010年5月获国家质检总局批准为地理标志产品。[5]

名胜古迹[edit]

锦丘宫坐落在度峰社区，是一处留存至今的明清时期合院建筑，两侧山墙上的八幅壁画出自清乾隆年间。它被列为「福建省第十批省级文物保护单位」。[6]

南潮宫在砺山村，前身是宋代的书院，明代起作神庙使用，清乾隆九年（1744年）重新建造。它是「福建省第九批省级文物保护单位」，石柱上的龙纹由清代郭怀师徒历时60年雕成。[7]

度尾文庙又称中岳朝天文庙，建在中岳村的古街上。明正德年间（1506年）郑纪请求把一处私塾改为官办学堂，2010年起修缮，2011年竣工，仍保持明代的建筑样式。[4][8]

镇内的革命旧址有「砺山寨反“清剿”斗争旧址」、「中共仙德工委旧址」、「后埔破仓分粮旧址」和「白鸽岭营救战斗旧址」，分别与1944年至1949年间的游击斗争相关。[9][10][11][12]

著名人物[edit]

南宋的姚宗之、陈谠、余崇龟，明代的户部尚书郑纪，以及现代国画大师李耕，都与本镇有关：姚宗之籍贯为今洋坂村，陈谠为今帽山村人，余崇龟籍贯为今湘溪一带，郑纪籍贯为今埔尾村，李耕生于中岳村的民间画师世家。[3][8]
