三埔村位于郊尾镇中部的开发区，离镇中心约1公里。村子与埕边、郊尾街、后溪、东湖四处相邻，三郊省道经过村中。村子背靠牛岗山，朝东南倾斜，平均海拔40米。[1][2]

村名来源于祖先在草地上建房，房屋分为前埔、大埔、陆埔三部分。人民公社时期称前埔大队；1981年，因与赖店公社的前埔大队重名，改用三个自然村的名字，改称三埔大队。[1]

2024年1月，村子获评「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

中华人民共和国成立前，村子属香兆乡。1950年划入第三区；1951年至1956年归第四区，1956年改隶郊尾区，1958年并入郊尾公社。1984年，村子改设三埔村民委员会，隶属郊尾乡，1985年3月划归郊尾镇。[1]

经济[edit]

1949年前，村民的副业以畜力运输为主，往来仙游、莆田、惠安、泉州运货。1950年后以农业为主，1978年后工业起步，先后开办佳新铝楦鞋模厂等企业。农业以水稻为主，果树以龙眼为主。[1][3]
