宝坑村在郊尾镇西北部，东侧与古店村相连，南面是洪山，北面以芹林为界，西侧接赖店镇的象岭村。村子海拔85米，西南地势高，东北地势低。[1][2]
村域四面群山环绕，中间有一块约2平方千米的小盆地，形状像磨，故村中也曾称磨坑。[1][2]
2024年1月，村子获评「2023年福建省卫生村」。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时期村子属香田里；民国时隶属香田镇，中华人民共和国成立前改属香南乡。1949年起称宝坑。[1]
1950年至1952年隶属盖尾四区，1955年和1956年属枫亭区。1957年归郊尾公社，设立宝坑大队，之后改为宝坑村；1984年成立村民委员会，隶属郊尾乡，1985年3月划归郊尾镇。[1]
村内下辖娘子墓、顶眉、下厝、企头、田岭五个自然村。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
宝坑陈加元旧居在新厝自然村，属古建筑，为仙游县一般不可移动文物点。[1]
