村子位于木兰溪南岸，隔河与北面的龙腾村相对，西边连着鲤南镇，东边以后庄村为界。全村共7个自然村。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
世明书院在象塘村后厝，属县一般不可移动文物。书院建成于1960年，2012年又经重建，是三一教的传道场所。[3]
象塘墓山遗址在枫室墓山上，也是县一般不可移动文物点，属古遗址。[1]
产业[edit]
村里的古典家具生产厂家主要生产床榻、桌椅和书柜等明清式样的家具，同时制作根雕茶盘和木雕工艺品。产品销往国内，也销往马来西亚、新加坡等东南亚国家。[2]
