后南溪村位于榜头镇西北部约3.5公里处，背靠塔山，面临仙水溪。村委会设在枫树下，村子是革命老区的基点村。下辖八个自然村，其中有枫树下、顶厝、后厝和红厝瓦等。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
康熙年间，此地的“后黄”改名为“后南溪”。解放初称安贤乡，原与芹山村合为一个大队。1961年由芹山大队分出，设为后南溪大队，1984年改为后南溪村委会。[1]

村中有后岩水库，库容四十万立方米，并通有天然气。[1]
