泉山社区在榜头镇西南端，与鲤城的北宝峰、鲤南的下楼相接，新旧仙榜公路穿境而过，莆永高速也从中横跨。[1]

社区下辖5个自然村。中国古典工艺博览城和宝泉工艺产业园都建在泉山境内，博览城已成为「中国古典工艺家具之都」的标志性建筑。[1]

黄今秀（1906年—1928年）为泉山村林碑人。1925年秋入读北京平民大学，两年后回乡，在竹庄小学执教。[2]
