坝下社区位于榜头镇东南部，是一个历史悠久的文化和商贸小集镇，素有“工艺之村”之称，也是「中国古典工艺家具之都」的生产与销售核心地。社区居民委员会2014年1月1日起正式挂牌成立。[1]
工艺[edit]
据社区资料，北宋时期这里的工匠已把宫廷器皿与书画工艺结合，制作木雕家具，被视为「仙作」木雕家具的开端。[1]
近年明清家具收藏市场兴起，带动了古典家具的产业发展。社区走出的国家级木雕大师和工艺美术大师有数十位，省市级工艺大师也为数不少。[1]
社区是“仙作”的发源地和核心区，古典家具产业的规模随之扩大，全国各地的家具商和收藏家在此采购。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2011年，社区获市级文明村称号，并获「海西魅力乡村」称号。[1]
