锦湖村隶属福建省莆田市仙游县枫亭镇，位于镇南部的沿海地段，距镇政府2.5公里，东边与泉港区的鸠林村挨着。[1]

村名取意于近山邻海、水陆交通便利的地理环境，称锦湖。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地属枫亭镇斗南保，因在塔斗山南面，故名斗南。[2]

中华人民共和国成立初属第三区斗南乡；1956年归枫亭区，1958年后为枫亭人民公社锦湖大队。1984年，此地设村委会，归枫亭镇管辖。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村内有古下山与五里山，海岸线长约1.5公里，建有海水排洪闸一座。[1]

文化[edit]

1965年，村里的中心俱乐部获得省级先进俱乐部的称号。[1]

村中保留清代古民居三座，另有近代仿古建造的太平亭。[1]
