金井社区处在县城西郊，紧挨仙度公路，西侧与大济镇的山岑村相接。[1]

相传有林氏兄弟在此挖井，挖出大量金沙，故称此地为“金井”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明、清两代隶属善化里。民国年间为“金山保”，之后并入仙游县六区的金山乡。新中国成立后设金井大队，归大济乡所管。[1]

1958年分为金井、山岭两大队，归大济公社；1984年改为金井村委会；2002年10月，金井村委会被划入鲤城街道；2020年5月6日改为居委会。[1][2]

姓氏宗族[edit]

金山林氏始祖良甫公为唐九牧第九房后裔，原居木兰下街林田庄，明正统八年（1443年）从田庄析居金井开族。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年10月，金井社区列入「2021年淘宝村」名单。[1]
