此社区处在县城东面，背后是大蜚山山脚，东南方向靠着木兰溪。旧称宝坑、宝峰。[2][1]

村前的山形如马鞍，俗名“马坑”；本地方言说成“宝坑”，文雅一些便写作“宝峰”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

旧属折桂里、城北乡、中山镇。中华人民共和国成立初属榜头五区，1953年并入城北乡，1958年设宝峰大队，归城关人民公社。[1]

2002年10月区划调整后，此处设立北宝峰社区居民委员会，属鲤城街道。[1]

土地革命时期，此地被列为福建省革命老区基点村。[2]

姓氏宗族[edit]

明代游姓迁入定居，为宋代理学家游酢的后裔。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

据百度百科，辖区内还保存着一座清代游氏宗祠，祠中悬挂御赐的“理学名臣”匾额。北宝峰游氏祠堂位于宝坑居民小组，为仙游县一般不可移动文物点。[2][3]

中共仙游县委会议旧址位于宝坑内村，为仙游县一般不可移动文物点。[3]

著名人物[edit]

张元豹（1916～1942年），化名黄石、阿进，北宝峰人，1932年加入中国共产党，任县委委员。[1]
