月埔村位于月塘镇中部，新文公路与沁峤公路穿过村域，福泉高速公路莆秀支线的出口设在村内。村名取自境内一处称「埔」的自然村落。月塘中学坐落于本村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村址1952年称月埔大队，1980年转为月埔人民公社下的生产队。1984年复称村委会，划归莆田县忠门乡。1988年改入忠门镇，1997年起属月塘乡，2002年转属秀屿区，2016年归月塘镇。[1]

文化[edit]

月埔村于2021年3月入选「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」，同年11月获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
