坂尾社区是月塘镇人民政府的驻地。村名与河流有关：先民迁来此地后沿水道两岸开垦定居，村名因此而起。1989年设立坂尾行政村，2016年改设社区，村内的锦山宫为莆田市文物保护单位。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年时此地并入一个生产队，1976年又分出，改为坂尾生产大队。1989年成立坂尾行政村，2016年改设社区。[1]

文化[edit]

坂尾社区于2021年3月入选「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」，同年11月获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生社区」称号。此外，它还先后获得「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」（2020年11月认定）与「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」（2024年6月列入名单）。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

锦山宫位于坂尾社区，始建于宋雍熙四年（987年），明代重建，清代重修。宫为单进合院式，门殿与正殿构成「工」字布局，现存清代石柱和雍正三年的纪年碑。[3]
