西埔口村是山亭镇下辖的行政村，按博雅地名网的城乡分类属城乡结合区。村名来自四个自然村的村民围绕西埔口车站聚居。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后到1963年，此地先隶属西埔乡，又归山亭乡的冯山大队。1964年2月起，它是忠门人民公社琼山大队中的若干生产队。忠门人民公社撤并于1989年，此后这里先叫山亭乡前湄头村，最终改称西埔口村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2025年6月，西埔口村被认定为「2025年莆田市一村一品专业村」，主导产业为胡萝卜。[1]
