东仙社区是山亭镇下辖的社区，名称取东蔡与仙光洞两地名的首字合并而成，仙光洞又名紫霄洞。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代已有此地的村落。它曾与莆禧村共同组成莆禧公社；此后1963年改入忠门公社的东沙大队，1979年成为东仙大队，下分9个村民小组。2008年起隶属山亭镇，2015年改名东仙社区居民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

紫霄洞位于普陀山上，据博雅地名网所载与湄洲岛隔海相望。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年11月，东仙社区被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
