东蔡村是福建省莆田市秀屿区湄洲镇下辖的行政村，位于湄洲岛上。[1]村名沿用了先祖的祖籍地名：先祖原居枫亭镇东仙村的东蔡，后迁入湄洲岛定居。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村落始建于明代。1958年归忠门公社，1961年划属湄洲公社，1984年称湄洲乡东蔡村，1992年改属湄洲镇，2002年起属秀屿区湄洲镇。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村域内石后自然村有一处明代摩崖石刻「天妃故里」，以楷书直排阴刻四字，石刻长247厘米，字径70×50厘米，占地约134平方米。[1]

文化[edit]

2023年11月，被认定为「2023年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]2024年1月，被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
