罗盘村隶属南日镇，位于南日岛北面约12公里处的小岛上，在鳌屿与赤山两岛之间，村委会驻罗盘自然村。[1]
名称由来[edit]
小岛的轮廓似一只圆盘，自古便称罗盘。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此地在宋元隶感德乡南匿里，明清隶四区南匿里。民国初归省府直接管辖，民国23年（1934年）属福清县九区，民国24年与25年为南日特种区，民国29年划归莆田县南日镇，民国32年（1943年）隶南日镇五屿村。[1]
新中国成立后，1949年与1950年属十三区五屿村，1954年至1955年属二十四区五屿村乡，1956年至1957年属南日区五屿乡。1961年为双岛大队，1968年改称罗盘，1984年改设南日镇罗盘村委会。1993年12月属莆田县南日镇。[1]
村况[edit]
全村143户、713人，均为汉族，博雅地名网未注年份。居民以打渔为业，少量土地种植甘薯、花生等作物。村中设小学与医疗所各一所。[1]
