石盘村为南日镇的行政村，驻地在镇政府西侧约2.7公里，村委会设于石盘自然村。2022年12月，该村获评「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1][2]

名称由来[edit]

村中心有一块形似石盘的巨石，村民的住处与田地多聚在它的周围。「石头盘」与「石盘」读音相近，于是简称为石盘村。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地在宋元隶感德乡南匿里，明清隶四区南匿里。民国初归省府直接管辖，民国23年（1934年）属福清县九区，民国24年与25年为南日特种区；民国29年划归莆田县南日镇，1943年隶南日镇岸下保。[2]

新中国成立后，1950年属十三区石盘乡，1952年改隶二十四区石盘乡，1954年至1955年称二十四区（南日）石盘乡，1955年起划入南日区。1957年为南日镇石盘高级社，1958年为南日公社石盘大队，1984年改设南日镇石盘村委会。[2]

村况[edit]

村委会统辖11个自然村，下设10个村民小组。博雅地名网记为681户、3699人，未注年份，聚落形状不规则。[2]

耕地1643.8亩，甘薯与大小麦为主，花生、大豆为辅；林地2500亩，兼植相思树、木麻黄，并有黑松与桑松。土特产有海带、紫菜、鱼、虾。村内有小学与医疗所，有电灯，岛上公路穿村而过，有客车。[2]
