岐下村因位于山下的方位而得名，2007年由鹅下村更名为岐下村。[2][1]

历史沿革[edit]

1965年至1991年，村地属平海乡溪边大队；此前的1960年至1964年，它是埭头区东湖乡的前黄大队。1991年溪边分村，初名鹅下村。[1]
