上店村因地势较高，且早年境内开设过店铺而得名。2021年10月与2022年10月，它两次列入淘宝村名单；2022年12月，获福建省农业农村厅确定为「2022年度福建省一村一品专业村」，产业为海带养殖。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

上店村在1932年属平海乡。解放后曾归江堤乡，1957年改属溪顶乡，1960年划入平海公社上店大队。1984年12月设平海乡上店村委会，1994年改称平海镇上店村委会。[4]

文化[edit]

村内有天宝宫一座，建于清朝，至今保存完整。[2]
