历史沿革[edit]
民国时期这里属平海区，后并入平海乡。新中国成立后，它一度归宅厝乡管辖，之后并入平海公社东美大队。1984年底改设东美村委会，1994年随平海镇归莆田县管辖，2002年改属秀屿区。[3]
