地名由来[edit]
早年大蚶山与后山之间有一条港，后被泥沙淤塞。村北的南北向海岸线与东西向的旧港合成“丁”字形，加上水旁，写作“汀”，村名由此而来。[2]
地理环境[edit]
村域面积，博雅地名网作6.84平方千米，百度百科作8.61平方公里，两说并列。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年为12区汀港保；1950年改称汀港乡；1952年与1954年均属23区汀港乡。村的前身是解放后设立的黄港乡，乡撤销后改设为村。[1][2]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内有天后宫、清水寺等古建筑，还有创业渠、蔡陂水库等水利设施。汀港山景区为国家3A级旅游景区。[1]
人物[edit]
烈士林春霖的故乡就在本村。林春霖于1990年为救援落水群众而牺牲。[1]
经济[edit]
以海蛎、紫菜养殖为主导产业，并带动手工线面加工。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年度，村获评省级“一村一品”示范村（海蛎）。2022年11月，村入选2021年度全国综合减灾示范社区的名单。2024年2月，村成为第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇的创建对象之一。2025年11月，村列入福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村的名单。[1][2]
