地名由来[edit]
地图上村落的轮廓像一只鹅头，村名由此而来。[2]
地理环境[edit]
村落面积，博雅地名网作1平方千米，百度百科作1.8平方千米，此处并列。海岸线长4000米。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
村旧称鹅头城，以吴姓为主。明代村中出过礼部尚书等官员。明万历年间，因地震及港口转移，村落逐渐衰落。[1]
1984年起定名为鹅头村，2002年划入秀屿区埭头镇。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
村中现存一块传为宋代米芾题写的「第一山」巨石，以及古城墙的基址。明正德皇帝游江南时，曾对“第一山”石刻加以赞誉。[1][3]
经济[edit]
浅海养殖是村中经济的主体，蛎类吊养的面积有数千亩；紫菜与龙须菜的养殖面积各为500亩。[1]
